Water Treatment Chemicals

FOVAC has a comprehensive range of Cooling Tower Water, Treatment Chemicals that comprises of Corosion Inhibitors, Algaecides / Biocides, Descalers and others. FOVAC T52 Algaecide LF is formulated to kill algae and blue or green algae, when they are added to water. Examples are copper sulphate, iron salts, rosin amine salts and benzalkonium chloride.

FOVAC T47 is based upon a combination of organic phosphate, polyphosphate and special corrosion inhibitors. It increases solubility of calcium and magnesium salts in the water and prevent it from precipitating on heat exchanger surface. It interferes in the process of formation of crystals of scale forming salt. The scale formed by such crystal is very weak, fluffy and normally are washed off by water velocity.

2 T47C Hydrocool (For Chiller System) InfoFOVAC® T47C Hydrocool is a water-based liquid additive specially formulated to protect chiller and other closed-circuit process heating and cooling systems from galvanic corrosion, which results from the presence of dissimilar metals within the recirculating system. Closed-circuit heating and cooling systems often contain various dissimilar materials such as copper, brass, aluminum, tin, ferrous metals, lead, brass, and other yellow metals. When dissimilar metals are present within an untreated system, galvanic corrosion normally results, due to differences in the electro-chemical potential of the materials. Left untreated, galvanic corrosion often leads to pump/seal failures, reduction in heat transfer efficiency, reduced flow, lost revenue, associated downtime, and expensive cooling system repairs. 3 T52 Algaecide LF/LF2 (Biocide) InfoFOVAC® Algaecide LF and LF2 is a pale yellow colored Biocide formulation designed to combat a wide range of bacteria, fungi yeast and algae in both commercial and industrial cooling systems. These growth thrives because of the abundance of water and sunlight but besides becoming a health hazard, also creates problems that restrict water flow and hinders heat exchange. FOVAC ® Algaecide LF and LF2 is readily diluted in water or added directly into cooling system water for immediate function. Microbiological fouling, slimes and other fungal growth that is commonly found in all cooling system greatly reduces the efficiency of the system by clogging up filter materials and suction pump inlet. Without FOVAC ® Algaecide LF and LF2, periodic physical cleaning has to be done which involves labor and downtime cost. 4 T270 SRR System Descaler InfoFOVAC® SRR System Descaler is designed for use as the ultimate cleaner for water cooling system to remove build-up scales, rust, bacteria growth and stuck-on grime. 5 T35 De-Ionized Water InfoFOVAC® T35 Deionized Water (DI) is manufactured using an ion exchange process in which its ions, such as cations from sodium, calcium, iron, copper and anions such as chloride and bromide removed. This means FOVAC ® T35 has been purified from all other ions except H 3 O + Because most non-particulate water impurities are dissolved salts, deionization produces a high purity water that is generally similar to distilled water, and this process is quick and without scale buildup. 6 FWA255 Distilled Water InfoFOVAC® T 35D Distilled water is also called steam-distilled water. Distilled water is water which has been heated to the boiling point so that impurities are separated from the water, which becomes vapor or steam at 212 degrees farenheit(100C). Steam is then cooled and condensed back into pure liquid form. The impurities remain as residue in the steam kettle(to be periodically removed). This distillation system removes waterborne biological contaminants such as bacteria, parasites and viruses, organic and inorganic chemicals, heavy metals, minerals, volatile gasses, electrolytes, cysts, and other contaminants.
