De-Ionized Water

FOVAC_®  Deionized Water is manufactured using an ion exchange process in which its ions, such as cations from sodium, calcium, iron, copper, and anions such as chloride and bromide, are removed. This means FOVAC _® De-Ionized Water has been purified from all other ions except H 3 O +.

Because most non-particulate water impurities are dissolved salts, deionization produces a high-purity water that is generally similar to distilled water, and this process is quick and without scale buildup.

FOVAC _® De-Ionized Water meets ASTM Standards for Laboratory Reagent Water (ASTM D1193-Class IV).
